FIA’s attempt at leveling the playing field by introducing new regulations in 2022 turned out to be counterproductive. Not only did Red Bull and Max Verstappen practically run away with the two championships, but they also broke several records along the way. That domination continued in the 2023 season opener in Sakhir, where the Dutchman led from the first lap to the last. That begs the question if there even is a way to stop him. The best way to find out was to ask Max himself, and surprisingly, he did reveal what it would take to stop him. We are sure the rival teams and drivers are taking notes.

Ahead of the practice sessions on Friday, Verstappen updated the fans on his health. He told that his arrival in Jeddah was delayed because of a stomach bug. However, he assured fans that he would reach in time to participate in every session. Once he hit the tarmac on Friday, it never looked like he was not a hundred percent. The reigning champion surprised everyone by setting the fastest lap in both practice sessions, setting the tone for the third and the qualification today.
