In a recent Vanity Fair shoot, we saw Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, George Russell, Pierre Gasly, and Esteban Ocon in their most fashionable outfits. Being able to see our beloved F1 driver interview for Vanity Fair makes it quite clear that drivers and the sport itself have gained a lot of popularity in the past couple of years. And we have a strong reason to believe that the Netflix series Drive to Survive had a lot to do with that.
Lando Norris gives his stance on Netflix show Drive to Survive
The McLaren driver is one of the most popular drivers currently on the grid. Norris also has a massive fan base because of his online presence amongst Esports enthusiasts. Interestingly, he was only featured on the show in season 3 and had a blink and you’ll miss appearance in season 2. But thanks to his popularity; he is now one of the protagonists of the show in Season 4. However, Lando had one complaint about the show regarding how they depict the sport.

“There are things which may be a bit too much like that and I don’t agree too much with it, but on the whole, I think it’s just exciting and good for everyone. As long as they don’t overdo it and literally make someone look like they’ve done something which they definitely haven’t done, I think that’s too far. As long as they don’t do that, it’s good,” said the McLaren driver.

It is a very common criticism thrown towards the Netflix show recently. Many drivers have called out the show for overdramatizing the scenes and making up rivalries. Some drivers have commented that they will not appear on the show again because of the problem.
