Although it is claimed to be one of the slowest races on the F1 calendar, this year’s Singapore Grand Prix turned out to be quite exciting and unpredictable! After assessing the chaotic GP, boxing superstar, Canelo Alvarez, revealed his favorite driver. And the fans seem to be in agreement.

Sergio Perez won the Sunday race. He pipped Charles Leclerc into turn 1 and never looked back. He gathered a commanding lead and kept his composure during the Safety Car periods.

This was Checo’s 4th Formula 1 victory overall and his 3rd with Red Bull. Naturally, this was a moment of elation for all of Mexico. In addition to that, one very special Mexican figure took to Twitter to admire Sergio Perez.

With his win at the Marina Bay circuit, Sergio Perez is now within catching distance of second-placed man Charles Leclerc. He has to finish ahead of the Monegasque at Suzuka if he wants to jump him in the WDC standings.
