The Mexican GP was going to be a grand affair. With both Championships decided, the gloves were finally and truly off. Mercedes showed great pace and potential. However, that being said, it turned out to be one of the worst races we’ve seen in 2022 so far.

Fans at the circuit and at home were excited to see homeboy Sergio Perez challenging for a home GP win. However, with how the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is laid out, we couldn’t see anything special enough to get us off our seats.

F1 fans were quick to air their disappointment at how the race panned out. As soon as the chequered flag was waved, fans stormed Twitter to share their feelings about the 2022 Mexican Grand Prix. Spoiler alert, no one liked it.

Fans were not pleased with how the entire race developed. The biggest gripe with the entire GP was the fact that the track layout was such that a good race was not possible at all. Hence, naturally, the fans took to Twitter to vent their dissatisfaction with the event.

It’s one thing if a race was a slow burner. However, the number of fans who flocked to Twitter to share their views about how boring the race was cannot be ignored. The new regulations have brought back closer racing. But this wasn’t enough to light the Mexican Grand Prix up.

Even though the race has been touted as one of the worst of 2022, some fans were still happy about Sergio Perez scoring a podium once again at his home Grand Prix. At least there was a silver lining to it.
