During the Black Friday sale, Circuit De Barcelona is currently offering an attractive offer on tickets for the Formula 1 and MotoGP races in 2022. And it’s not just Friday that this sale is on, it also applies to Saturday, where an even better offer will present itself.

The official Twitter account of the Circuit De Barcelona – Catalunya announced that tickets for both races are on sale. If fans buy tickets online on Friday, they will receive a discount of 25%. But if they buy tickets in person at the Festa 30 of the track on Saturday, they will receive a discount of 30%.

The Spanish Grand Prix in 2022 will take place on May 20-22. And the Catalunya Grand Prix will take place on 3-4-6 June in 2022. In both instances, tickets will come with three-day passes for F1 or MotoGP, whichever ones the fan has bought.

While this Black Friday deal is enticing in itself, fans have something more to celebrate for the Spanish Grand Prix.

On Friday itself, it was announced that F1 and MotoGP have renewed their deal with the Circuit De Barcelona – Catalunya until 2026.

“I want to thank the promoter and authorities for their enthusiasm and commitment to keeping Formula 1 in Barcelona, with improvements that will be made to the track and facilities, and continuing our long history together,” F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said.

The calendar for Formula 1 in 2022

Along with F1 ensuring Barcelona remains on the calendar in 2022 and beyond, the next season will have 23 Grand Prix races. The season will kick off in Bahrain on 20 March and end on 20 November in Abu Dhabi.

But it’s the races in between which are shuffling, welcoming, and re-welcoming more tracks. F1 will continue to have this season’s debutants, Zandvoort and Jeddah, on its calendar. Racing action will also return to Melbourne, Imola, Suzuka, Singapore, and Montreal. And the most anticipated season on the track will be the second United States Grand Prix in Miami.

The announcement of 23 races in one season has left many wondering whether the number of races is too much.

This decision is a bid to popularise the sport even more on a global level. In 2022, F1 is also introducing a completely new car for 2022, again to make racing more exciting.
