Max Verstappen is currently the number one driver in Formula One. He won his first world championship last season in dramatic fashion after beating Lewis Hamilton in a nail-biting finale. The 2021 season finale in Abu Dhabi was arguably one of the tensest moments in F1 history.
It was even nominated for a BAFTA award recently. There is very much a possibility that the 2021 season, and in particular the season finale in Abu Dhabi, may be made into a movie or a documentary. But Max does not want it to be converted into a movie personally. but mentions that if it does go ahead, he would want a certain Oscar-winning actor to play him.

The Red Bull driver it’s certainly one of the best drivers in the history of Formula One. So it comes as no surprise that he picks Leonardo DiCaprio as his choice to play him in a biopic or documentary.

“First of all, I hope that never happens. I do not need that! But if it does and now, Leonardo DiCaprio could play me. That would be great,” said the world champion.

In the same interview, Verstappen mentioned that there is a lot of respect between him and Hamilton despite their tense battle last season. Things got tense between them and both of them threw jabs at each other, but the underlying respect was always there.

“We’ve had our fights, but there’s also a lot of respect. He’s one of the greatest racers ever,” said Max, about the 7-time world champion.

Now that the Dutch driver has revealed his choice of actor, let’s see who Lewis picks. It would certainly be interesting if indeed there is such a project in the making and if Leonardo DiCaprio would say yes to playing Max Verstappen.
However, it is unlikely that the Academy Award winner will take up the role, as Max is almost half his age. Yet it is certainly an interesting choice from the world champion to go for the best. Let us know who do you think should play Verstappen in a potential movie.
