We are five races into the season and Ferrari has had just one podium finish. The Maranello-based team goes into the Monaco GP with the hope of another. However, the free practice sessions until now have not proven to be too promising. Looks like team boss Frederic Vasseur has had enough. As the team prepares to bring their first big set of changes in Spain, the Frenchman has revealed his big plans for the rest of the season. As he hopes to give Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz an edge over the rivals with that plan, Tifosi are far from convinced.

After finishing 2nd in both championships last year, Ferrari aimed to bounce back in style in 2023. Forget about challenging Red Bull for race wins, the team can’t even take on a resilient midfield team, Aston Martin. The car lacks pace and isn’t the best in high-speed corners. Moreover, some reliability issues have haunted them again. Despite that, Leclerc put up a brave front in Azerbaijan. The team now expects to do that and more in the upcoming races.

Mercedes planned on bringing its first set of big changes to Imola. However, the plans got delayed after the cancellation of the Grand Prix owing to floods in the region of Emilia-Romagna. The Silver Arrows have now brought in those changes at Monaco. Ferrari, however, are set to bring in their changes in Spain. After that, as per Vasseur, in every race.

The Ferrari boss, as per Motorsport.com, recently revealed, “Barcelona, for sure, it will be an update on the car, but we are not planning to bring a big package each five races.”

“We will bring small update every single race. And I don’t want to say that it’s Barcelona or nothing. After Barcelona we will have a small update in Montreal, and another one in UK/Austria.”

“We are planning today to bring updates every single race until the end of the season.”

Fans, however, are worried that the move could prove counterproductive. The reason behind the Tifosi’s concern is the budget cap which they feel the team will easily breach of they adopt the approach Vasseur has chalked out. Take a look at some reactions.
