Charles Leclerc is the adhesive that is holding together the failing fabric that Ferrari is. The Monégasque is an extremely talented and educated racer. Only if Ferrari could provide him with a better car, he could do wonders. Well, Ferrari promises an upgrade for ’21, and pray it helps Leclerc and Sainz.
Mattia Binotto believes Leclerc could be the modern-day Schumacher for Ferrari. The principal is certain that the number 16 will pull them out of their peril; however, the team will have to co-operate with him for that.
Nonetheless, a failing car cannot hold back a champion, as Leclerc figured his way through. Even with the shambolic form of the SF1000s, he hauls points almost every weekend. With his optimism, Leclerc plans to place in the top six of the starting grid at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

“It’s difficult to say but if we do a good job tonight I think a top six [qualifying is possible] if we put everything together – really everything together – but that’s a bit optimistic. But it’s the way we need to approach this last weekend,” explained Leclerc.
The young racer drips of promise and conviction. His praise is flying around the entire circuit and in no time will he be challenging the leaders. However, if Ferrari continues with such form, it might prove to be frustrating for him.

Charles Leclerc has optimism to glide him through
Charles Leclerc did not have the best weekend during the Sakhir Grand Prix. Although he qualified P4 for the starting grid, he had to retire at the very first lap. A collision with Perez saw him and Verstappen walk out of the circuit, their cars stuck in the gravel trap.
“To be honest it’s actually better than what we expected on a track we expected to struggle quite a bit with the heat and the long straights in the first and second sector,” explained Leclerc.

He will try to maintain his form from last week. However, he needs to carry it to Sunday to finally make a statement.
“We seem to be in the mix with the guys we are fighting normally with, so it surely isn’t as good as probably last weekend but we shouldn’t expect that so let’s work tonight and hopefully we can do a step forward for tomorrow,” concluded Leclerc.

The young racer has always been optimistic about his races. He had proposed a rather morbid suggestion in a wet Turkish Grand Prix; on a dripping wet tarmac, he proposed slicks. It eventually came to that, but his optimism had made others laugh in the beginning. Well, we hope his spirit helps him because his team isn’t doing much at the moment.
