It is confirmed! Valtteri Bottas will be driving for Alfa Romeo in the 2022 season. As a result, there are two names trending on Twitter – Valtteri and George Russell. The announcement can only confirm one thing and Twitter knows it.

Valtteri bids adieu to Mercedes
All jokes aside, Bottas penned a heartwarming tweet to his team. Amid replying to Alfa Romeo tweets, Bottas thanked the Silver Arrows for 5 wonderful years.

While it will be sad to see Valtteri Bottas leave Mercedes, George Russell brings with him the promise of a future at Mercedes. Additionally, if Hamilton were to leave after his contract expires, Mercedes would be ready with the next World Champion in their seat.
