Ferrari would be hoping to leave the disastrous Spa Francorchamps performance behind. Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc finished the race in the 13th and the 14th position, respectively.
Arch-rivals Mercedes AMG locked out the front row. While Ferrari finished behind their engine customer Alfa-Romeo. Vettel clearly was not satisfied, and it was reflected in his post-race press conference.
Addressing the loss, Mattia Binotto stated that the issue was with the track and Ferrari is looking forward to the next few races.

Sebastian Vettel faced the press when he was presented with the Team Principal’s stance. Vettel was asked about Mattia’s statement. The German without dragging controversy or spitting any accusatory statements decided to accept and replied to what appeared to be a tone dipped in sarcasm.
“I guess if he says so, then he is right.”
However, Vettel could not stop himself from giving in to the laughter soon. Clearly the results never spoke for the issue with the track. With Mercedes notching an absolute top-class performance claiming the top 2 spots and Red Bull and Renault following suit, the issue is with Ferrari themselves and not the track.

Vettel wasn’t satisfied with Mattia’s statement. However, he chose to reply subtly without burning the tires, yet again. However, it was fairly difficult for him to remain deadpan. He gave way to his smirks and went to state that the whole year has been a one-off.
“I hope it is a one-off, I hope (smirks) this year so far is a one-off but we will see obviously as I said we hang in there, all the guys in there are pushing.
“It’s not fair we get hammered for the right reason because we are slow it’s not fair because the work behind is still the same. It’s not like the guys ahead of us put more work.
“I don’t think so, but they’re putting better work in that’s the reason we are behind.”
Q: Mattia said 'this is only a track related problem so we are looking forward to the next races'.

What awaits Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari?
The race was not due to the track. Even Mattia knows it pretty well. Before they drop their trials in Monza, Ferrari would be aiming to clean up the mess in Belgium. Italy is the origin of Ferrari, and they’d be looking forward to performing decently.
However, given the poor performance Ferrari has showcased, fans would be hoping for a miracle to get them back on winning ways.

Significantly, to make up for the lost time, Formula 1 has to cover 3 races in Italy. Ferrari would be under immense pressure in front of their home crowd.
Sebastian Vettel is on his last season with the Prancing Stallions. However, if he doesn’t step up in time, it’ll be hard for him to find a team to race for from next season.
