The ‘geek’ of the block got humiliated by the ‘cool kid’ on twitter this afternoon. Mercedes decided to take on Renault’s rather long and detailed tweet ahead of the Spa Francorchamps on Sunday.

Renault spilled their strategy ahead of the main race scheduled on Sunday.

Mercedes took the opportunity to grill Renault and brand them “Nerds!”.

Mercedes apologized for coming out strongly. However, it was not the end as Mercedes were on a roll today. Throwing a concern about Esteban Ocon’s wellbeing, Mercedes asked Renault whether his diet and rest are being done properly. Renault never realized the trap door setup as the concern was a ploy to humiliate Renault even more.

12-hour sleep every night“, replied Renault.

Mercedes was waiting for Renault to step in and show their cards. The plan worked and Mercedes pulled out its final trump card from the deck.

Good. Please remember to tuck him in.”

These kinds of a witty war of words and small banters are always welcome. Provided they stay within the limits and do not change the dynamics of the two teams. Hopefully, Renault would try to give a perfect reply to the banter on the track.
