We have all heard the famous “Everyone is a Ferrari fan” saying. However, in recent years, the Italian outfit has really put it to the test with their abysmal form. Despite fielding one of the strongest driver lineups on the grid, Ferrari hardly has anything to show. In fact, there are multiple rumors circling the paddock that they might lose their star driver, Charles Leclerc. Although, as usual, the Monegasque was quick to put all rumors to bed by expressing his loyalty to the Prancing Horse.
Rumors circling the paddock come from the very top as reports suggest F1 owners Liberty Media want to create a power couple. The American owners want to add to the excitement of the sport by partnering Max Verstappen with an equally talented driver. The report suggests Leclerc is a front-runner for this dream team, which will eventually add a few zeros to Liberty Media’s $23.8 billion. However, speaking to The Guardian, Leclerc showcased his loyalty toward the team despite the difficulties.

“This year is far away from where we expected it to be but being a Ferrari driver is something very special,” he says. “I don’t feel the outside pressure but I am putting myself under a lot of pressure in order to succeed, the responsibility of bringing Ferrari back to the top. The passion people have for the team is like nobody else.”

Ferrari ripped to shreds for wasting the talents of Charles Leclerc
The Italian outfit has been trying to chase the same levels they had in 2007 but has failed miserably so far. 2022 started off on the right note but fell apart like a house of cards. The multiple leaky faucet at Ferrari is also hampering the drivers, racing to the best of their ability. These external factors that affect the drivers and the car are exactly why Leclerc is not performing at his finest despite having the same level of talent as Verstappen. Peter Windsor believes so, and he revealed this thought in his British GP review video.

“I think that’s absolutely right I think he does have Max’s Royal Talent. Because of the situation, he’s been in him and his career is not on track as Max’s career is on track. Max knows what he’s doing every day and how good his car is going to be and what. Whereas as I’ve said before you know Charles has to think of a million things or does think of a million things apart from his driving,” said Windsor.
