The Austrian boss revolutionized the sport with Mercedes winning 8 consecutive Constructors’ Championships and 7 Driver’s Championships during the famed turbo-hybrid era of F1.

In doing so, he has also helped the world of Formula E flourish. While he was setting the world of F1 ablaze in his role as CEO and team principal of Mercedes, his wife, Susie Wolff was finding her feet and breaking stereotypes as a team principal in Formula E. And in her words, she has a lot of that success to credit to her husband.

While talking to Julius Baer about her struggles as a team principal, she credited her success to Wolff. She said, “There was lots of learning to be done, but thankfully I had watched my husband in a very successful role at Mercedes and I could learn a lot from him and I felt ready to take on the challenge, and most certainly it’s its been a challenge that I’ve relished.”

Toto Wolff has been at the helm of one of the most successfully dominant teams in the history of the sport. That being said, the path to victory in Formula 1 is never easy, even when you’re the one who’s dominating. With a target on their backs ever since 2014, Wolff has now revealed one top tip that he keeps closest to himself.

While on the Performance People podcast, he explained, “The most important thing is to be authentic in the way you act and be true to yourself. Because if you’re not authentic, and you’re trying to pretend to do things a certain way, people will feel that.”
