Lewis Hamilton opens up about his relationship with Kanye West

In an interview with American journalist and entrepreneur Graham Bensinger, Lewis talked about the camaraderie he had built up with Kanye over the years. Aside from being one of the most influential artists of his generation, the American rapper is also Lewis’ dearest friend.

Speaking about his relationship with Kanye and his family, Lewis said, “I like to think I’m relatively close to Kanye and his family. Whenever I go to L.A., I can go around and hang.”

He added, “They actually are a beautiful family. It’s pretty similar to my own family. It was kinda cool. Because people who are in the spotlight, we are genuinely very protective of who we let in. So, it’s not that often that someone just lets you come around, especially when a family is well known as that.”

Another rapper who has shared a special with Lewis is Jay Z. Lewis recalled his conversation with him. He remembered asking the legendary rapper if he watches F1 or not. To which Jay Z replied, “I watch you. I support you.”

This was a fan moment for a driver who himself has millions of fans across the world.

Lewis Hamilton’s passion for music

The Silver Arrows ace has been an ardent lover of music and has gone on to write about 160 songs. On being asked about releasing these songs in the future, Lewis replied, “There’s never any plan to do so. It’s just a hobby. Something I enjoy doing. We all need a hobby to stop us from getting bored.
