It is not easy to race in F1. Apart from talent and skill, drivers need to have a fitness regime to keep their bodies in perfect shape. Among the many drivers on the grid, Lewis Hamilton is particularly known to switch to healthier choices to maximize his advantage. The Brit changed his diet and turned to plant-based foods. Additionally, he also follows a unique exercise regime to maintain his fitness.

It is a safe therapy. Cryotherapy consists of subjecting the superficial layers of the skin to extreme cold for a very short duration of time. According to GQ, “This treatment aims to achieve a high degree of well-being, by enhancing the body’s response in the circulatory, muscular and neuroendocrine aspects.” [Translated from Google]

The treatment is undertaken in a special cabin filled with liquid nitrogen. The temperatures can range anywhere from -80 degrees to -190 degrees Celsius depending on the treatment. Moreover, the time a person spends in the cabin is not more than 3 minutes.
