As Formula 1 is going through the off-season, drivers are engaging in activities to keep themselves entertained and fit. While some are utilizing the time for a vacation, others are getting themselves into adventure activities. Among the latter is Charles Leclerc who is skiing and climbing mountains under heavy snow. Fans are, however, not amused as the nightmares of Michael Schumacher’s horrific outing still haunt them.

We recently saw Lewis Hamilton spend his time off in Antarctica, taking a run amidst penguins and seals. The ride that took him there was an ultra-luxurious $243 million mega yacht, Octopus, formerly owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Accompanying the British driver was a slew of celebrities, including Olympian Shaun White and actor Nina Dobrev.

F1 drivers have a pretty busy schedule during the season with all the travel and training. Some fans wondered why they don’t just sit back and relax during the off-season.

Here are some reactions from Instagram:

“Bro, please get away from the snow, we have lost 2 legends already”

“Can u like not do dangerous activities”

“Charles get off that mountain as fast as you can we all have PTSD”

“Charles you’re a driver, not a skier please go home”

And some reactions from Twitter.

As the Monegasque posted a video from high up the mountain, some fans had anxious reactions to him filming with one hand and holding on for his dear life with the other.

Another fan wondered why he couldn’t just train in the gym as taking such a big risk did not look like a good idea.
