It’s been almost 7 months now, and Formula 1 still hasn’t healed from the departure of Sebastian Vettel. The 4x champion, and arguably the most loved driver in F1, hung up his racing helmet at the end of the 2022 season. What a journey it had been! And ever since he’s gone, fans have been pining for just an inkling to dream of a comeback. And ever so often, Vettel drops a hint. This time, he’s confirmed it!

Vettel mastered his craft at Red Bull. The German was unstoppable from 2010-2013. Garnering four consecutive world championships, he cemented his legendary status in this sport. Naturally, what could be a better ode to his incredible career than him strapping himself back into one of his utterly dominant championship-winning machines?

That’s right! Sebastian Vettel will be back behind the wheel of the RB7 that propelled him to his 2nd WDC trophy. And he won’t just be taking it out for a spin at a random track. He’s going to be tackling the Green Hell, the Nürburgring Nordschleife!

But it wasn’t just Vettel that the fans were happy seeing back. As part of his reserve driver-cum-marketer role, Daniel Ricciardo will be driving a classic Bull, too! He’ll be strapped alongside Vettel in the much-acclaimed RB8.

Safe to say, though, Formula 1 fans had been aching to see Vettel making a motorsport comeback. While the 4x champion isn’t really making a full-time Formula 1 return, this show run is the closest the fans will get to see the German hurtling down the asphalt in a Formula 1 car. Who knows, it may get incrementally better for us with each passing year until he makes a proper comeback.
