Charles Leclerc does not stream as frequently on Twitch as he did during the pandemic break. The streams sometimes got too hilarious, as he either reacted to videos or just played on the simulator. In one such stream from the past, he revisited the glorious win in Monza in 2019 and picked up on a detail he missed out on all the while.
It is a dream for every Ferrari driver to win the Italian GP. That dream came true for Charles Leclerc in 2019. For most of the race, he fought off pressure from Lewis Hamilton and later from Valtteri Bottas. As the race progressed to the 23rd lap, Hamilton came wheel-to-wheel with Leclerc at the Curva Grande. However, as they moved to the della Roggia chicane, Leclerc did not leave enough space for his opponent and forced him to go wide.
What many, including Charles, did not notice after watching the recap many times was Nico Hulkenberg, tailing them both, went wide as well. Hulkenberg was too engrossed in watching the battle in front of him unfold and was late on the brakes.

Noticing the incident for the first time in a fan-edited video, the Monegasque said, “Was that Nico behind? Yeah it was Nico Hulkenberg. I think he was too focused on fight in front. He just went straight on his own. Nico! I had never seen that. I have seen this race one thousand and six hundred times, as I won, if you didn’t know. And I watched it like, million times but I’ve never seen Nico just went straight. Ay ay ay.”
Charles’ streams were filled with hilarious moments. In one of them, we found the secret to his calm and collected nature.

The 2022 season had many frustrating moments for Charles Leclerc. Despite winning the pole position many times, he could not win the races owing to frequent strategic failures from Ferrari. However, he kept himself calm on most occasions. The secret to it lies in the best mental training he told about in one of his streams.
Racing on the simulator, Leclerc had a collision with a car and, resultantly, got a 5-second penalty. Frustrated, he went on a rant. “Oh, my god. Honestly, this is the best mental training. I’ve got a 5-second grid penalty. What the h*ll is this? Honestly, this is the best mental training ever. I’ve never been so angry inside me. I’m just staying calm. Look at me! Look at this! I’m just calm. I just don’t care. So I’ve got a broken neck, a broken computer, a screen that is not working, a five-second grid penalty, went from 2nd to 7th.”
