The entire Tennis fandom stood in ovation today as Spain’s own Carlos Alcaraz dominantly booked his Wimbledon Semi-Final berth. But it wasn’t just the world of Tennis that was in awe of the Spaniard’s performance. Many A-listers from the sporting world and the wider entertainment circles have graced this iconic event. But Formula 1 has taken a front-row seat this year. And another elite athlete, in the shape of Mercedes F1 team’s George Russell was in attendance at the Centre Court to gee Alcaraz on.

Alcaraz marched into the Semi-Finals of the storied Wimbledon tournament after he won in straight sets against Denmark’s Holger Rune. But if you thought this would’ve been a pleasant surprise for the Brit, then George Russell has his own crystal ball to prove you wrong!

Russell took to his official Instagram handle to share pictures of himself and his girlfriend, Carmen Mundt enjoying themselves at the tournament. However, the Brit is not just a casual fan of the sport. He did his homework, and as a betting man relied on Alcaraz’s superior talents.

In a video that Russell uploaded to his Instagram story just hours before Alcaraz registered victory, he uncannily predicted the outcome of the match. He was quoted as saying, I’m going to go Ons Jabeur for the women’s. Carlos Alcaraz for the men’s,” as he predicted the Spaniard’s triumph over Rune in the quarter-final.

But it isn’t just Russell who is a loyal supporter of Alcaraz.

It’s not just Russell who has been rooting for the Spanish Tennis ace for victory. Recently, Ferrari Formula 1 driver, Charles Leclerc was showering praise on the 20-year-old prodigy. Safe to say, the F1 paddock shares a particular affinity for the boy from El Palmar.

Leclerc was quoted as saying, ?He?s [Alcaraz] an incredible player. I only saw him on TV until now, but first time I will be seeing him in real-life play and I?m looking forward to that,”?in a video released by Wimbledon on their official Twitter account.
