Novak Djokovic?s Wimbledon win streak and dominance came to an end with Carlos Alcaraz?s triumph. The Serbian star was 36 years old when it happened. And guess what? @maxsredbull quoted a post on Twitter with the caption ?So he pretty much is the Max Verstappen of tennis?. The comparison was probably made as both Alcaraz and Verstappen became successful in their respective sports at a very young age. However many fans didn?t like the comparison that was made and reminded the community about the controversial past between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen from Abu Dhabi 2021.
Many fans took to social media to explain that Alcaraz might be like Verstappen in terms of age and talent but stated some key differences. Let?s see what the fans had to say.
Fans react to Carlos Alcaraz being compared to Max Verstappen?
Fans took to Twitter as they called @maxsredbull out for comparing Max Verstappen to Carlos Alcaraz. Many fans suggested that Carlos Alcaraz didn?t cheat to win the Wimbledon as they referred to the 2021 championship finale. Some pointed out how the rules weren?t broken in Alcaraz?s triumph case.
Alcaraz didn't cheat and isn't a hypocrite though

Nah, the umpire didn't change the regulations for the last point of the match…
— Jackie (@JackieF1nut) July 17, 2023
This opens up the can of worms on the Abu Dhabi 2021 Safety car fiasco as how Race control made mistakes in causing the last lap debacle that caused so much uproar in the F1 community. Although, fans have started a sarcastic discussion by drawing parallels between Alcaraz’s maiden Wimbledon triumph & Verstappen’s maiden F1 title triumph.
No, the one got the WDC gifted…Carlos won legitimately!
