The French Open semifinal between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz was a spectacle. After all, it was a battle between ATP World Number 1 and Number 2. Usually, age is considered to be inversely proportional to the level of fitness. The younger the player, the more athletic and energetic they will be. But despite being the younger of the two opponents, Alcaraz’s cramping and mental “tension” during the contest cost him the match. While Carlos understands that after his sad semi-final exit from the Roland-Garros, he won’t have great chances at Wimbledon, an F1 prodigy thinks otherwise with a supportive message.

McLaren F1 rookie Oscar Piastri is the prodigy sensation who is boosting Carlos Alcaraz’s morale for the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. It is always fulfilling to see athletes from different sports meet and interact. Piastri & Alcaraz meeting up ahead of Wimbledon is a unique inter-sport pairing that has caught the eyes of fans.

Piastri said, as quoted by lta.org.uk, “I grew up watching Andy? [Murray] as a kid. The Australian Open was something I always watched and at that point we had the big four with Andy, Roger [Federer], Rafa [Nadal] and Novak [Djokovic]. It?s very cool to meet him (Andy) all these years later – he?s a really nice guy and very down to earth so I enjoyed meeting him a lot.”
