Aston Martin’s $245,000 Worth Beast’s Launch Sees Fernando Alonso & Lance Stroll Become Laughing Stock for Fans Due to Their Fashion Faux Pas

Aston Martin recently launched its newest addition to its supercar lineup. Being the drivers of the automaker’s F1 branch, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll were present as well. While the car looks elegant and intimidating at the same time, Fernando and Lance did not inspire as much awe. To put it subtly, the duo became quite the laughing stock for their dressing style on the internet.

The Aston Martin F1 team is currently on Cloud 9. After the way they finished the 2022 season in 7th in the constructors’ championship, nobody believed they will bounce back the way they have. Anchoring their success story right from the season’s start is Fernando Alonso, with his bold yet elegant driving style. Those are not the qualities you will draw from his dressing sense, though.

Aston Martin recently launched the new DB12, a beast that houses a 680bhp 4L AMG V8 engine. As per their official website, the DB12 is capable of doing 62 miles in just 3.6 seconds and has a maximum speed of  202mph. As per Bloomberg, the car’s cost in the US will start at $245,000.

The launch took place at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes, France. Accompanying Alonso was his manager, Flavio Briatore, and his supermodel wife, Elisabetta Gregoraci.

Despite the car’s superior looks and mind-numbing specifications, Fernando and Lance managed to become the talking point among fans, and not for a good reason. Fernando wore a suit with the sleeves going almost as low as his knuckles. Lance wore a suit as well but neither had a belt nor a pair of socks under his loafers. Needless to say, fans picked on them, some even questioning what all their money was worth if they couldn’t buy good clothes.
