As the conclusion of the Formula 1 World Championship draws near, the grapevine is abuzz with speculations for the next season. Is a particular rumor gaining traction? Fernando Alonso possibly replacing Sergio Perez at Red Bull. However, this was recently addressed by Antonio Lobato during his ‘Racing Lobato’ segment on ‘A Diario’.

While the fantasy of seeing Alonso at Red Bull is fascinating, it’s essential to note that the only possible change, albeit slim, could be with Ricciardo stepping in. One such rumor catching the wind was the potential of seeing Fernando Alonso with Red Bull in the upcoming season. On this, Antonio Lobato opines, “It would be nice to bring together the two best drivers in the same team!, but it was released as an idea or a dream because there is not much chance of that happening. With Fernando there is nothing, his entourage tells me that they are even worried because tension could be generated with Aston Martin. Lobato’s remarks make it evident that such a move might be a stretch of the imagination. Further diving into the matter, Red Bull’s stance has been consistent: Sergio Pérez is slated to continue as he has a contract until 2024.

Aston Martin’s ambitions are evident. As a team seeking to climb the ranks and maintain a competitive edge, they’re determined to be contenders for the Constructors’ Championship. “Aston Martin wants to become a big team. This year, they’ve marked their best result ever, though there’s a tinge of disappointment for not witnessing the progression everyone had anticipated after a promising start,” Lobato detailed.

While the world of Formula 1 remains abuzz with speculations and dreams, reality presents a different picture. For now, fans can only wait and watch as the next season’s dynamics unravel.
