Aston Martin‘s merch department is in a lot of trouble. Orders from April have still not reached the customers, let alone the orders that they placed in November as Christmas presents. While merch shipping delays are rare, they still can happen to any organization due to several moving pieces involved.

Especially when you count the fact that it is Christmas and New Year season, and everyone who has internet has a giant chance of ordering something or the other. Logistics can prove to be difficult, and it would have been understandable, albeit disappointing for fans to have their merch delayed by a few days.

However, when the days became weeks, added to the fact that there is a seeming lack of communication from Aston Martin, fans are starting to get really mad at the Aston Martin F1 team. According to a Reddit post from an aggrieved customer, every customer who voices a complaint is sent the same email, which does not give an approximate ETA even when the customer is asking for it.

There have been other instances of fan outrage as well as other merchandise delays in the world of Formula One. For instance, Lewis Hamilton‘s merch store, Plus 44 was also delayed. People who ordered their merch ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix didn’t get their orders delivered till at least the 14th of December and threatened to boycott the store in the future. The fact that two British logistics teams couldn’t get their logistics sorted is also something that concerns fans.

Fans’ outrage at delayed Aston Martin merchandise

The AM store is just a f**king scam,” one outraged user wrote. He had to resort to a chargeback, only for the Aston Martin logistics team to make things even more complicated for him. “I did a chargeback, and they told my credit card company that my order was delivered – which was an obvious lie. I then had to call and spend time proving to my credit card company that it had never even left the Aston Martin warehouse.” He continues his rant at Aston Martin, stating, “The place is god damn scammers, Don’t EVER f**king order from the AM store.”

Another Aston Martin fan also took to reddit to complaint about the service he received from the merch store. “I ordered in June, shipped beginning of Sept, last tracking I had was a couple days after leaving the country, didn’t get a refund until the end of Nov.”

Some users managed to make a joke out of this situation as well. One comment that really caught a lot of attention was this. “Really putting the “AM” in “scam.””

Some fans think that this is just the curse of Alonso merch. One user had ordered Alonso merch from Alpine, for him to face similar frustrations. “Alonso merch is cursed. I ordered a shirt of his last year, Alpine sent me an Ocon one and when I attempted to get a refund, they wanted me to return it at my own expense. I just binned it.”

There was one user who aptly captured the entire debacle. “What a shitshow. I would be pissed.”
