Aston Martin, despite a weak end to the first half of the season, will still be remembered as the dark horse of the 2023 F1 season. Who would’ve thought that Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin would be on the podium in the first race after a terrible 2022? However, Lance Stroll continues to struggle. The Aston Martin team boss recently hailed Alonso as a superhuman just 2 days after the Canadian driver threw in the towel. What did the boss say?

Lance Stroll has been overshadowed by the sheer magnitude of Fernando Alonso’s performance. While the Spaniard has multiple podiums to show for his first-half achievement, Lance Stroll has the best finish of P4 in Australia. The Canadian recently came out and advised that Fernando Alonso is generally a faster driver than him and has been delivering top-notch performances all season.

Now, the Aston Martin Team Principal Mike Krack has come to hail the Spanish F1 sensation, the Maestro, Fernando Alonso. Krack advised that he’s never witnessed skills and performance like what Alonso has shown in the first half of the season, throughout his career in any category of motorsports. He went on to advise that “Superhuman” is actually an apt description of Alonso. 

According to @AMF1News’ Tweet that quoted an exclusive interview by Racefans, Mike Krack, when asked about Fernando Alonso being a superhuman said “That’s probably a good wording. That’s probably the right thing. The reaction times – we always look at it – they are fantastic. It’s just incredible. So it is probably superhuman, as you mentioned.”

The gun has been pointed many a time in Fernando Alonso’s direction as the Spaniard is accused of moving teams based on a financial decision. It is believed that this might cost Alonso many championships. Despite these bad moves, Alonso has come within touching distance of the title. The 2007 season with McLaren where he lost just by a single point. However, it is the 2010 and 2012 title contentions with Ferrari and not winning those titles which is considered as the biggest regret by Alonso.

According to the High-Performance podcast, Fernando Alonso said “[Not] Winning a Championship with Ferrari. In 2010 and 2012, we were a few laps away. That probably could have changed the outcome of many things,”
