Aston Martin Racing is ready to showcase its AMR24 race car and the team boss Mike Krack has come forth to share the details. The launch event was hosted at Silverstone and this is where they showcased their new car for 2024. During the launch event, Krack announced, “We are proud to debut the AMR24. It is the result of a huge effort by the whole team at our new AMR Technology Campus and it will allow the team to take another step forward in 2024.”
After explaining the work put into the car, Krack explained, “Since the last race in 2023, everyone has been hyper-focused on improvements in every area, concentrating our efforts on what really makes a difference, what really matters to be better.” While talking about all the changes made, he said, “Almost every area of the car has been refined and improved, building on our strengths, and taking on board the lessons of the previous campaign.“

While analyzing the new machine, one thing was noticed in the 3D renders of the car. The car has a rear pushrod and the way the car is constructed, looking at the gearbox tells us that Mercedes could be going the same way too.
Krack reflected on the past while saying, “2023 was our best season to date and our goal this season is to score regular points, podiums, and fight for our first win in green.” With this, Aston Martin Racing is ready for a dominant 2024 season with two amazing drivers who are ready to take the team to the podiums.
Who is driving for Aston Martin Racing in 2024?
For the driver seats in Aston Martin, the team has gone for the approach of pairing a veteran driver with a promising younger driver to have the best of both worlds; and so far it is working. The drivers from 2023, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll will be behind the wheel again, battling it out to compete against the top three teams. Felipe Drugovich will also resume his duties as a reserve and test team driver for the Silverstone-based team.
Although the team finished 5th in the Constructor Cup, Fernando Alonso is a reliable driver with 2 world championship titles under his belt. In the last season, Alonso stood fourth in the driver’s rankings, scoring 206 points for the team. On the other hand, Lance Stroll had an uneventful 10th position, scoring 74 points.

Alonso’s experience over the years in F1 paired with Stroll’s promising driving gave Aston Martin Racing a chance to escape the midfield and move toward the battle for the championship. Although it was not the best year for 2023, ending the season midway has left a lot of room for improvement in the cars and drivers.
