Regarding this, Mike Krack conveyed, “First of all, I have to say that I am satisfied with our current engine supplier. But new regulations will come for 2026. Electric power will be more important than it is now. When new powertrain regulations come in, I think it’s normal for brands like Aston Martin to scrutinize them and carefully examine whether they’re strategically correct.”

We are currently in 2022 and there is a reasonable time until further adjustments in 2026 because we know other competitors are considering entry as well. So there’s a logical time to decide if we’re going to be on the grid with our own power unit in 2026. I think it’s the right time to look at that.“, the Aston Martin’s New Boss further stated.
