Despite it almost being time for the events of the next Grand Prix to start, the events of last weekend’s race, the British Grand Prix, continue to make the headlines. Lewis Hamilton got a 10 second penalty for causing a crash with Max Verstappen, which Red Bull believe was not enough. Thus, they have now filed a fresh complaint against the Briton, asking the FIA to review his penalty.

While there is no knowing what decision the FIA will come to after this review, Red Bull are confident that Lewis deserves a stricter penalty for the crash.

However, that is not their aim with this complaint.

The team’s advisor, Dr. Helmut Marko, revealed that they want to ensure two things with this review – that the FIA has all available evidence when they make a decision and that Max knows he has the team’s full support.

Anything is possible: a harsher penalty, reduced penalty, removal of the penalty. All we care about is that the new findings are taken into account. And that Max sees clearly that we are fully behind him.” said Marko.
