Mattia Binotto has officially resigned from Scuderia Ferrari. It could be argued that this news doesn’t come as much of a surprise after the dismal 2022 the team has just had. That being said, Binotto’s resignation has been linked by the fans to a peculiar Lewis Hamilton phenomenon.
Binotto was at the helm of arguably Ferrari’s worst-ever era. All this while, Hamilton ran rampant with two World Championships and a close-fought 2021 battle that ended in defeat at the hands of Red Bull and Max Verstappen. Hamilton and Binotto have never really crossed paths, but as it would appear, the 7x Champion does have a hand in the Italian’s departure.

Well, apparently, every time Lewis Hamilton has taken to his social media account to post a workout video or a shirtless motivational message, it has then been followed by someone announcing they’re leaving the sport. Coincidence? F1 fans on Twitter don’t think so!

Mattia Binotto is no longer the team boss at Ferrari. But this leaves a vacant seat at the very top of Scuderia’s management. Can Frederic Vasseur lead the team to glory? Or will the Tifosi pin their hopes on Ross Brawn coming back from retirement and weaving his old magic?
