Silverstone has always been a circuit very close to Lewis’ heart. 16 years ago, the young man from Stevenage wrote history before his home crowd. He then went on to win eight such Grand Prix races in Silverstone. Standing on the same pedestal as Michael Schumacher himself; Hamilton’s victory today, marked his ninth, thus crashing Schumacher’s long-running record. And it won’t be a stretch to say, that there is hardly anyone in the present grid who could do what Lewis Hamilton did in front of his people today.
