When asked about his contract extension, the winner of 193 podiums said, “I haven’t signed anything yet, but I think we are meeting with Toto tomorrow [Monday] so hopefully we can get something done.” When pushed a little further to explain, the 7x champion replied, ” I think we just need to get time to sit over coffee. That’s going to take half an hour.”

Hamilton went a bit further and added his stamp of approval to the contract extension, saying that he wants to concentrate on competing against Red Bull in the 2024 season. “Well, you can see today: my results, my performance is not affected by that. I think it’s always something that’s at the back of your mind, so once this is done, then you’re able to then focus more about the future.”
