“Around Monaco, Corsica, and Sardinia with my family and friends,” said Charles Leclerc about his plans for the F1 summer break. After the Belgian GP concluded, the Monegasque wanted nothing to do with racing for the summer break. But rumors of him signing a fresh $204 million contract with Ferrari surfaced right when he is holidaying with his girlfriend, Alexandra Saint Mleux.

For Leclerc, Corsica seems to be a destination that he visits often. In the summer break of 2022 as well, he was vacationing on the French Island with his friends. And this year too, he has been relaxing in Calvi, Corsica. 2 days ago, photos of him with some fans emerged on the Plage De Calvi beach. Like always, he was very sweet and obliged them with some selfies.

But this time around, none of his friends are accompanying him. The latest fan photo from his trip and what looks like dinner time there, doesn’t include any of his friends. The Ferrari racer is with his girlfriend Alexandra Sanit Mleux – a 21-year-old art history student from Paris. They have been reportedly dating for a few months now and have been spotted together on multiple occasions.

As Charles Leclerc enjoys his break from the high-pressure situation in Ferrari, leaks of his contract renewal come at the same time. As per Sportune, the Monegasque is reported to sign a 5-year contract worth $204 Million with Ferrari. But he doesn’t have to stick around for the entire 5 years.

The period of 5 years, commencing from 2025, is speculated to be split into a 2-year and 3-year period. After the first 2 years, he would have the option to opt out and choose to go another way with his career. Though,  if he does stay the entire period of 5 years, his salary in the last year could go up to $47.3 million.
