Former Toro Rosso driver, Jaime Alguersuari, recently made some shocking revelations about his time in Formula One. He made some serious allegations against Helmut Marko and stated that his stint with the team still haunts him. He alleged that the treatment he received at the hands of Marko has left deep scars on his psyche.

Jaime Alguersuari arrived as a mid-season replacement for Sebastien Bourdais in 2009. On his arrival, he became the youngest driver to compete in Formula One. However, he does not recall his experience as a pleasant one because of the way he was allegedly treated by Helmut Marko. Now, he has made a U-turn in his recent tweet.

After making some scathing remarks on how Marko’s treatment caused him “trauma” the now driver-turned-DJ has taken a U-turn through his recent tweet.

Giving a clarification, he said that he is deeply thankful to have met Marko when he was 15. He wrote that Marko was his teacher who asked him to “deliver to push and boost” himself “forward and beyond”.

The clarification comes after his allegations on the Red Bull Advisor.

The Marko-Alguersuari controversy so far

He said that this treatment has created a “trauma” in him which he is sure his then-teammate, Sebastien Buemi, and many others, faced too.
