Lewis Hamilton has served as the face of Mercedes for over a decade now. The Briton has been associated with the Silver Arrows since 2013, and it goes without saying that when you devote plenty of time to any team, your expectations rise along. However, it has been a while since the Brackley-based staff has been working tirelessly to meet his demands, which, according to a former Toto Wolff confidant, has worn down the group. So what is that demand and how the team has got “exhausted?”

Lewis Hamilton has won 7 world championships, though with Mercedes the tally shows six of them. And during the period of those six championships, his team dominated the F1 track for 8 consecutive years (2014-201)  in a way that no other teams had before. Hamilton has won seven championships while maintaining his enthusiasm and desire, but he still has to share the record with Michael Schumacher. His desire to win the eighth world championship has made the German manufacturers work incredibly hard, which appears to have had an impact on the team’s current performance.

With 247 points, Mercedes is ranked second. However, performing well in the remaining half of the season is still somewhat unlikely due to the team’s past ghost returning to haunt them. This is precisely what has led to rising demand in Hamilton. This is precisely what has led to Hamilton’s increasing demand. James Vowles, the current boss of the Williams squad and a former confidante of Toto Wolff, however, acknowledges that the hard effort has worn the squad out and offers some insight into the Mercedes’ maestro.

According to NextGen Auto Vowles,It’s very difficult to win eight times. You have to make sure that everyone is in tune with the direction you’re going and it’s tiring. You have to maintain an incredibly high level of operation.”

Adding further, he said, “We must not waste a second to keep moving forward. It exhausts you more and more. We don’t reset ourselves, we always exhaust ourselves more. You can’t celebrate the present moment. You can’t celebrate the success you have, because if you do, you fall behind.”

Mercedes is still making every effort to get back on track, but it is uncertain how long Lewis Hamilton will continue to support the team after Toto Wolff rejected his request to serve as an ambassador. Will Lewis Hamilton be extending his contract with Mercedes?

Lewis Hamilton offers a different viewpoint on the negotiations with Mercedes

The reports we received continued to indicate that the negotiations proceeded all the way to the final stages, but Hamilton hasn’t signed anything yet. This is despite the claims by both Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff that the contract negotiations will only take a half-hour.

Furthermore, now that Wolff refused Hamilton serving as the team’s ambassador, Hamilton has weighed in and said that the contract’s specifics are more complicated than we initially thought. The Mercedes ace said in a tweet, “I’m going in-depth with my contracts now. But I plan to be here. I have a lot of work to do with this team.”

Hamilton further clarified how the emotional ups and downs on both sides have caused the ongoing process to be examined from a different perspective than the rest of the people. He said, “I think it’s definitely an emotional rollercoaster on both sides. It’s an ongoing process and no one can understand the full complexity of the situation.”
