Nelson Piquet’s racially insensitive comments on Lewis Hamilton saw him get entangled in a costly lawsuit. While he apologized for his comments later, the authorities continued with their action. Amid all this, his daughter Julia has shared a post that talks about toxic familial dynamics.
Although it isn’t certain if she is pointing at her own family, the timing of her social media activity is surely a bit peculiar.

Nelson Piquet appeared for an interview in November last year. The Brazilian used certain racial slurs for Lewis Hamilton and some perceived homophobic slurs during the talk. The comments evoked widespread criticism from fans and F1 pundits alike as F1 disallowed his paddock entry for the foreseeable future.
Julia Piquet’s post a take on Nelson Piquet-Lewis Hamilton controversy?
All this while, Nelson’s family went through scrutiny as well. Piquet’s nephew Rodrigo shared a post defending the use of the supposedly offensive word that Max Verstappen‘s partner Kelly liked. Nelson Sr’s other daughter Julia, however, stood away from the controversy.
However, recently, Julia shared a post on her Instagram story from @the.holistic.psychologist that touched upon the toxic familial system. In the post, psychologist Dr. Nicole Pena said, “In the toxic family system the healthiest person causes friction. They create resistance in the familiar dynamics and other members become uncomfortable.”
In another Instagram story shared from the handle self_love_musings’ post, the text read, “Nothing will make a narcissist happy. Not even if you give up everything for them. Their void is too vast and too deep to ever be filled. But they will suck every last bit of life from you trying.”

His Mercedes teammate George Russell supported Lewis’ stance and wrote: “Huge respect to LH. He has done more for the sport than any driver in history, not just on track but off it. The fact that he and so many others are STILL having to deal with this behavior is unacceptable. We all need to stand together against discrimination of any kind.”
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc too lend his support to his grid-mate through a tweet that read: “The comments made towards Lewis should not be tolerated, and we should continue to push for a more diverse and inclusive sport. We need to remove discriminatory behavior and racist language in any form from not just our sport, but our society as well.”
