We saw as many as 6 drivers bow out of the Singapore GP after almost every driver struggled to keep his car on the tarmac. There were drivers going into the run-off area, crashing into the barriers, or just turning into each other, causing damage and puncture. But will we witness a clean Japanese GP on Sunday? Or are we in for another surprise?

Japanese GP race day weather forecast

Rains come as a curveball for the race strategists. The track conditions become unpredictable and the drivers have to be extra careful with tire management. Safety cars come into play quite often and that’s where chaos ensues in the pit lane. Get ready for another thriller of a race as we have a pretty high rain prediction going for Sunday.

With water spraying all over, teams would expect the visibility to be low and the chances of crashes to be high.

Max Verstappen could have won the driver’s championship at Singapore GP. However, rain played spoilsport for the Dutch as he saw his 5 race-win streak go into the mud. Red Bull will, however, want to see their ace driver take the title home in Japan as it is the home to their former engine supplier Honda.

Verstappen needs a gap of 112 points or more between himself and Leclerc as well as his teammate Sergio Perez to win the title in Japan. If he wants to take matters into his own hands and be sure to walk out of his RB18’s monocoque as a champion, he will have to win the race and take the point for the fastest lap.
