The Ferrari pilot Charles Leclerc has a peculiar hobby that he indulges in time and time again. Most Formula 1 drivers pick up a hobby or continue one from childhood whenever they need to disconnect. Since living, breathing, and thinking F1 can become exhausting, these hobbies are a perfect gateway for drivers to stay focused on the goal in the longer run.
Most of these hobbies are a stark contrast to the fast-paced life of F1, with golf being a popular choice. Additionally, the Ferrari man’s hobby is on a similar line and he’s very good at it as well.
Leclerc’s go-to activity during his time off between race weekends is playing the piano. The Ferrari man posts videos of himself playing the instrument online. And he recently revealed the importance of his hobby.

Leclerc revealed, “I love playing the piano. Here I can completely switch off and no longer think about racing and I enjoy that very much. I play the piano more in bad times than in good times (laughs).”
Elaborating on the ‘bad times’, he said, “When things are going well, you really want to get back on the track quickly and only think about racing. But when it’s not going well, I play the piano and try to forget everything around me..”
Learning and playing the piano well is a difficult skill to master, and the Ferrari pilot is a skilled pianist. The need to adhere to the instrument might have something to do with Leclerc’s last five races, excluding the Austrian GP.

Leclerc started the season brilliantly and amassed a massive lead. However, after a run of poor strategic calls and unreliable car, Max Verstappen overtook Leclerc and now has a comfortable lead over him.
After a long run of disappointing results, the Ferrari man finally got a win at the Austrian GP. However, for a championship protagonist, a podium after five races is a disastrous outcome. Leclerc, in the last five races, has had engine failures from the lead twice. He has also twice lost out on a podium finish because of poor strategic calls.
