Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel are two of the most decorated drivers in F1. While Sebastian Vettel is a 4-time world champion with Red Bull, Max Verstappen is closing in on his 2nd world championship with the Milton-Keynes outfit. But would they have been able to reach these heights had it not been for Red Bull? Probably not.

The duo has $20 Billion Worth Businessman Dietrich Mateschitz to thank for it. The Austrian decided to buy Jaguar Racing Formula 1 in 2004 and renamed it Red Bull Racing. He also went on to buy out the Italian-registered Minardi. It was renamed Scuderia Toro Rosso, which also means Red Bull in Italian.

According to RTL/ntv, the Austrian has been seriously ill. The rumors come on the back of the Red Bull founder being away from the public eye. He also missed the DTM race held at the Red Bull Ring, giving fuel to the fire.

After his absence from the event, Red Bull issued a statement: “As you know, it has always been important for Mr. Mateschitz to keep his private life out of the public eye. Nothing changed about that.”

Helmut Marko has given his take on the whole subject. Mateschitz’ friend and confidante respectfully said, “No comment, it’s a private matter, we don’t comment on it.”

But, Christian Horner has chosen to keep his eye on the ball. Talking to Sky F1 about Red Bull’s season, he said, “We are in a great position. We’d probably have to try quite hard to lose it. But mathematically, nothing is done until it’s done.”
