What’s common between Jason Statham and Yuki Tsunoda? Or Will Smith and Carlos Sainz? Or even better, Dwayne Johnson and Zhou Guanyu? Don’t say “nothing”. Think about it because the connections were given by the drivers themselves. Got nothing? Let us explain where it came from. Looking at our F1 drivers, you know that they’d be good at a task that would require quick thinking under high pressure, but they’d be great when they have plenty of time to think about it and, of course, no pressure. Wrong! And we can just prove how hilarious and bizarre their reactions were when they were asked to name an actor to play them in a movie.
For example, if we had a dollar for every time the names Tom Cruise or Christian Bale came up during their one-on-one interview, we could afford an F1 car (but seriously, a LEGO will be right in your hands). That’s how much the paddock loves the two Hollywood superstars!

Unbothered by the resemblance to themselves, the drivers just want them to portray them in a movie. And though there were many takers for the Top Gun star, fans rightfully (approved by Max) designated him to Sergio Perez.
The picks were outright crazy but lovely. Then there were things that are just natural, such as going with the most logical picks. Red Bull won here as well, with the two most appropriate responses: Max Verstappen going with Leonardo Di Caprio and Sergio Perez obviously with Tom Cruise. However, they were not the best ones, since madness is something we all love, and Yuki Tsunoda, Zhou Guanyu, and Carlos Sainz won this competition.
Max Verstappen wins the competition, but others win the hearts
The ever-serious Max Verstappen just went ahead with the most logical answer. On the other hand, others just seemed to go ahead with their favorites, which have also become our favorites because imagining such actors resembling the drivers in a movie would be a dream come true.

Another deserving credit was given to Lando Norris for picking up Spiderman fame and his compatriot Tom Holland to reprise his role. The connection was further extended as Jon Favreau and Zak Brown also came into the picture.

The comments on Instagram were on par with those on Twitter, locked in strong competition. A few of them trolled the picks, saying, “Dwayne’s feet would flapping out of the front fairing”, “Tom cruise looks more like sergio perez than sergio perez” and “So no one is asking how could Carlos Sainz think of Will Smith as a good choice?”
