The indulgent food of America is famous across the globe, from meaty steaks to cheesy pizzas and hamburgers. However, since the Williams driver had to move across the border to follow his first love of racing, his second love i.e. American burgers couldn’t find space in his suitcase. And when he sat down to share the disappointment he has faced in the land that sings “God save the King”, there was no saving the rookie, Logan Sargeant, from a flood of counter statements and suggestions that poured in.
There is a unique relationship that the land of Uncle Sam shares with juicy burgers. However, if you think you are obsessed with burgers, your favorite athlete isn’t far behind. The first man to race under the Stars and stripes since the sport of Formula 1 became popular in the United States is as obsessed as you. Obsessed enough to cross the seas, and diss the pallet of the British. Wondering what the significance of the UK in this burger debate is? It is that the home of 7x champion Lewis Hamilton has perhaps not taken it well.
On the Fast and Curious Podcast, the host mentions how they had Sargeant on their first episode and the revelation he made on it has shaken their world. He said, “Where we mentioned that Logan being American is you do follow this particular American stereotype is that ‘you’re a fan of a burger’. As a throwaway line, we said if you’ve got any recommendations for Burgers in the UK which Logan might like, let us know.”

The hosts then went on to recall the time when Sargeant openly expressed his dislike for the burgers he ate in the United Kingdom. They said, “Because Logan said in the UK, he had not been able to find a proper American-quality burger. Logan people got in touch. And we have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of messages. And even though that podcast went out like weeks ago, we are still getting all these messages, Logan. About your burgers.”
He further added, “We had so many suggestions, but there were a couple of names that came up more than once. And there was one in particular that came up quite a few times that we had to get them on board in our hunt to find you a burger in the country.”
While it may seem like a unique love story going on between Sargeant and burgers, he isn’t the only one. Another driver has also declared his love for the said food item.

In a recent Podcast hosted by Olympic Medalist Tom Daly, Lando Norris revealed that he has a chicken burger after the race along with some pancakes at times as well. Revealing more, he said if he finds something he loves; he sticks to it.
He said, “Normally I get a massive chicken burger come through. Normally after the race, it is just starving. I don’t eat a lot on race day just because of nerves and I have never been a big eater.”
