He is a man of many talents. From being the Denver Broncos’ co-owner to becoming a producer, Lewis Hamilton wears many hats away from the track. With one of his most recent off-track ventures, the 7x champion is all set to partner with Brad Pitt to make a racing movie based on Formula 1. Hamilton, who owns Dawn Apollo Films, will join the said films crew as a producer and advisor. And being in such a crucial position, he now stands at a crossroads where he may soon have to make a difficult call.

The Mercedes driver is no stranger to Hollywood. He almost made his debut with Top Gun and has even lent his voice to Disney Pixar’s Cars 2. During the 2022 US GP, where multiple celebrities flooded the paddock, we saw in attendance the likes of Brad Pitt, Apple CEO Tim Cook, amongst many, both of whom will be involved in the upcoming movies with Hamilton.

When asked about his upcoming venture with Pitt, Hamilton had told Motorsport.com, “I have such high hopes for it. I know we’re going to make the best racing movie that’s ever existed, both visually and we’re going to work on making sure we pull on the heartstrings of all those fans.”

Fans came forward to lend suggestions to Lewis Hamilton

In a Tweet, Motorsport Turkey stated that Lewis Hamilton was looking to cast the second lead for his upcoming F1 movie. The tweet said, “The work for the F1 movie, which will start shooting in a short time, continues at full speed! Lewis Hamilton will choose the second lead of the movie, starring Brad Pitt! If you were in Hamilton’s place, who would you choose?” [Translated using Google]

Subsequently, the fans poured in with their suggestions. Two names that stood out they were reiterated multiple times were that of the Top Gun star Tom Cruise and Black Panther star, Michael B. Jordan.

Fans even suggested names like Liam Neeson, Idris Elba, Jason Statham, and Keanu Reeves, who already has an F1 documentary in the works

A few fans even went on to suggest names of a couple of world champions who they probably would want to see on screen.
