Rivalries are commonplace in Formula 1. Having said that, we’ve only heard about the driver and team rivalries. However, this time we’re apparently witnessing circuits on the Formula 1 calendar going toe-to-toe to outdo the other. It’s the Las Vegas GP versus COTA!

A while back, Formula 1 announced a 2023 race in Las Vegas. Currently, the F1 calendar boasts of 2 American races held in Miami and Austin. However, the newly announced Las Vegas Grand Prix has already fired shots at the historic Circuit of The Americas track situated in Texas.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix CEO Renee Wilm has declared that the Grand Prix is the new home of F1 in America. She proclaimed, “This is so much more – this is the new home of Formula 1 in North America.”
This comes as a statement of intent fired at COTA, which has hosted F1 in the US since 2012.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix, however, is not all talk. The CEO of the race has declared that she has something very special and considerable in store for all Formula 1 fans when the Las Vegas Grand Prix comes along next year.

Las Vegas can rival other circuits to become the new crown jewel in the Formula 1 calendar. However, with this also comes the rational concern in the minds of F1 fans that watching the race from the circuit can become an expensive affair. The best example is the Monaco Grand Prix, the race that the Las Vegas GP possibly aims to emulate and surpass.
However, the CEO of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Renee Wilm has put the minds of F1 fans at ease. According to her, a special area will be made that features more “affordable” prices. This comes as a bid to engage younger fans to come and follow the sport first-hand.
