Ryan Reynolds has swiftly zoomed into the Formula 1 family, and he’s been giving lessons in excellence. The Canadian actor gripped the imagination of the entire world from the big screens of Hollywood. However, now, he’s been making some mega moves on the fiscal side of things. To call him smart would be an understatement. But how has Deadpool hit the jackpot with his massive investments in a struggling F1 team?

However, on track, the performance of the team has only been middling. Then why is Reynolds being hailed as a strategic and investing genius by everyone who knows this deal?

F1 isn’t the only playing field where Reynolds aims to win big. Recently, he parted with his share in Mint Mobile for a whopping $300,000,000 payout. But things got better as F1 gave arguably America’s biggest sporting event a run for its money in terms of viewership, globally.

According to Hunter Hammonds, CEO at Assembly, “Why the hell did he [Ryan Reynolds] buy an F1 team? He understands trends. The global TV audience for the 2022 F1 season was 1.54 billion. That’s 15x the Super Bowl! It was the fastest-growing major sports league on the planet in terms of follower growth.”

Alpine’s statement at the time of the investment explains as much.
