Alpine has not enjoyed a hugely successful 2023 season. A season where podium finishes have been non-existent for them, a $210 million investment by Travis Kelce and others has given some hope for the future. However, with Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon struggling to get along, amidst their recent drama at the qualifying of the Brazilian Grand Prix, Kelce has become a fan favorite on social media.

Alpine might have been scoring points, but let’s not forget that their rival, McLaren, has 256 points, and regular podium finishes! It was not too long ago that Alpine used to have an upper hand on the Papaya Army. But now the times have changed. Granted, that the $210 million investment by Travis Kelce and other superstar athletes gives them a nice boost, their current issues seem to be there.

With the major issue being the driver dynamics, one might have considered that Alpine being a French team and both their drivers from France, things should have turned out well. However, that’s literally the opposite. Ocon and Gasly are not working out as teammates, as this was much evident with their recent drama on the team radio during the Brazilian Grand Prix 2023. Gasly stated on his radio, “Yeah, but I’m pushing guys, for f*cks sake, just useless,” after he got to know that Ocon had backed off.

Travis Kelce’s F1 investment into Alpine is the last ray of hope for fans

However, amidst difficult times, it seems like the Alpine fans have found a savior. And it’s none other than Travis Kelce. He has not only lucked out by dating Taylor Swift but also found himself being a fan favorite of the French team. This became quite evident as fans online could not further handle the Ocon-Gasly drama and asked them to replace them with the Alpine investor.

This fan clearly had enough of the ego tussle between Ocon and Gasly. It’ll be interesting to see if Kelce could perform in F1. Given his athleticism, he certainly has a strong core and neck to somewhat handle the G-Forces.

This fan is clearly not a fan of Pierre Gasly joining Alpine. In all honesty, given that Esteban Ocon is more of the franchise driver for them, it’s understandable why fans might not like him.

Given his biceps size and whole body frame, you wouldn’t be wrong in guessing that he is stronger than a carbon fiber body. However, given his lack of experience, he will most certainly crash it before he breaks the car.

This fan raises a very point! The fans might want Kelce to drive the car, but the reality is that he’s most likely to not fit in it. Especially given his stature and wide shoulders are considerably bigger than Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.

This fan is also ready to replace Bruno Famin as the Alpine team principal. Not sure whether that would be a wise move, as in that case, Kelce would be favoured in almost all the team strategies. Could you imagine being the second driver? That would probably be a recipe for disaster.

This fan hilariously conveys how confused and weird Travis Kelce would be in an F1 car. It would truly be a polar opposite world for him.

This fan rather ships the move for Travis Kelce to F1 as he presumes that Kelce would rather be up for this challenge. Well, he might be up to drive the car, but he would certainly not be up to shrink down on muscle mass so he could fit inside the car.

Whether Alpine ends up solving their issues remains to be seen. However, one thing’s for sure. Travis Kelce has become a fan favorite on social media to avoid mayhem. Can Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly get their issues behind themselves to work together? Only time will tell, as the sprint shootout is only hours away, at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
