Apart from his recent actions in the Azerbaijan GP, Fernando Alonso has not always played the part of a good teammate. This villain image is attached to him because of his tumultuous history with most of his teammates throughout his F1 career. He is known to call people out and he is someone who doesn’t mince words. In the recent news, the villain inside Alonso woke up once again and took a jab at his ex-teammate.
The Spaniard has not blamed his teammates for the estranged relationship. However, when it comes to Ocon, there might still be some unsaid feelings between the two. These strained feelings were on display during the Miami GP FP2. If there are any doubts, let us prove them with a radio exchange between Alonso and his trackside engineer, as quoted by Auto Bild.
During FP2, Alonso was put off by a move made by Ocon which sparked the exchange. Alonso, on the radio, said, “Alpine is competing with us in free practice?”

These statements towards Ocon clearly show there might be some lingering ill feelings between the two. Alonso also boasted his new team’s superiority over the old. The win is a highlight for Ocon, with Hungaroring being his one and only win so far. Alonso played a monumental role on that podium with his excellent defense. However, after their relationship fell apart, Alonso was quick to dismiss Ocon’s win.

Alonso said, “We don’t have the win because what happened in Hungary last year will never happen again in a hundred years, so that is a casualty.”
In fact, Alonso put some blame on Ocon for stripping the Spaniard of more podiums. “And then, the podium, maybe in Canada and Australia we had a chance but we lost by our own fault,” he added.
