On again, off again, has been the story of Daniel Ricciardo since the start of the 2023 season. The Australian got his return to F1 ahead of time and he grabbed the opportunity presented at AlphaTauri with both hands. However, he held on too tight, which is why the Australian is currently in rehabilitation for his hand. Whilst Ricciardo recovers to get back to action to prove his mettle for the contentious Red Bull seat, Liam Lawson is making the most of this opportunity. In fact, as we head to Monza for the race weekend, the New Zealander reveals his dream.

The home race for AlphaTauri has always been fruitful. However, now with a rookie in place of Ricciardo, there aren’t high hopes. But like Zandvoort, Lawson will give his best and take a step closer to realizing his dream. A dream he revealed to the media as quoted by Formula Passion.

“It will be nice be able to count on complete preparation for the weekend, given that I will be able to drive in all the test sessions,” explained the 21-year-old. “The support from the team was fantastic. They did everything possible to prepare me as best as possible in the limited time available.” (Translated by Google)

Thinking back to last weekend, Formula 1 is a different world,” he expressed. “I’ve never experienced anything like it, particularly at this level of attention. I expect this home race in Monza will be even more significant. It’s great to be able to do that. It’s always been my dream: it’s nice to be able to have this opportunity and I will try to make the most of it.”
