The Alpha Tauri team is hell-bent on wiping out all traces of the erstwhile Toro Rosso team. The Red Bull sister team is no stranger to revamped liveries, having done the same in 2017. However, the team have taken things to a whole new level, with a name change and a new livery being teased.

All through the past few weeks, the Italian team have been dropping numerous hints. However, the car will officially be

unveiled on the 14th of February. For the new season, Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat will be back in action, and in high spirits. Especially since both drivers got their revenge on Red Bull for ousting them.

What other details are there about the Alpha Tauri launch?

According to some sources, the Alpha Tauri team will be unveiling its 2020 challenger at the Hangar 7 base in Salzburg. It is worth nothing that it will be  the first time that the facility has been used for a Formula 1 car launch.

For the uninitiated, Alpha Tauri is Red Bull’s fashion branch and will be featured in Formula One for the first time. The company was launched in 2016 and has since grown in leaps and bounds. Many are actually excited about a brand new livery, as it will no longer look like a recoloured Red Bull clone.

However, there are fears that the revamped livery could just be a test livery. It is possible that it could turn up with a different look being used for the season. Red Bull actually pulled that kind of stunt in 2015 with the ‘CamoBull’. Annoyingly, the team reverted to more familiar colour schemes for the actual season.
