Alfa Romeo haven’t been performing to the levels they wanted this season. The Swiss-based team currently sit in ninth place in the constructors’ standings with just three points to their name.
Team Principal, Frédéric Vasseur believes that due to Mercedes and Honda power units dominating the grid, they can no longer have an impact during a Grand Prix weekend.
Having a Ferrari engine at the back of his cars, Vasseur feels they are on the same level as Alpine. However, he doesn’t seem to lose hope and is optimistic that things will look better in the 2022 season.
