Lewis Hamilton may have struggled in F1 this past year. Being the champion that holds records over some legendary names in the sport, his performance seemed beyond disappointing in 2022. This led to a lot of speculations regarding Lewis’ farewell from the sport. However, Hamilton has put a stop to these rumors altogether.
Lewis Hamilton posted a tweet that shuns all the rumors that question his place in the future of the Silver Arrows. Hamilton reiterates that he is here to stay, and that Mercedes is, in fact, his family and will always be.

He said, “My goal is to continue to be with Mercedes. I’ve been with Mercedes since I was 13 and they really are my family. They’ve stuck with me through thick and thin. And I want to be the best teammate I can be to them.”
Meanwhile, teammate and rising star, George Russell is all praise for his fellow Mercedes man.

In a recent interview with his team, Mercedes, George Russell, looked back at his debut F1 year at Silver Arrows and seemed pretty pleased with his personal growth. Although Russell believes that the team needs to work on the car, that would help them climb the ladder next season, he sure learned a lot from his teammate, and seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton.
In the interview, he said, “The relationship has been harmonious. What impressed me the most with Lewis is seeing how he works with the team, how he gets the most out of the people around him, how he continues to keep morale high when moments are tough and ultimately what I already knew is how damn fast he is and how much of a challenge it is being teammates with a guy like him.”
