And dare we say, the mother-son duo is hilarious! However, there is a tiny piece of history behind how Nicole ended up on a social media platform. And it looks like it has everything to do with Oscar.

F1 fans eagerly wait for Nicole to share one of her classics on X these days. She is handling the ‘stardom’ pretty well. Meanwhile, proudly wearing her Yuki sweatshirt, she shared the story behind joining now X. The story finds its origins in Oscar Piastri’s boarding school days. Now, you may imagine, what a boarding school got to do with Nicole diving into Twitter.

Mama Piastri shared with The Red Flags Podcast that years ago, when Oscar was in boarding school in the UK, he wasn’t responding to her messages. We aren’t unaware of how mums can react to such situations. However, Nicole took a rather Gen-Z turn here. “I opened a Twitter account and then got on there and said like, ‘Can you not answer me? I know you’re on your phone’. “ And that is how Mama Piastri’s journey to stardom began.

However, it wasn’t her plan to dominate X by ‘roasting’ Oscar Piastri. It just started because he was difficult to contact at times. Whatever her reasons were for joining social media, we’re glad that she did. Otherwise, who is supposed to entertain us off-track!?

Oscar Piastri’s mother might be the coolest mom of the paddock

Nicole Piastri has already taken the ‘legend’ tag. She never fails to share a hilarious post on X every time F1 returns to the circuits. Her favorite time pass is roasting Oscar Piastri. Remember when Oscar was finding his Monegasque roots before the Monaco GP? The FP1 results had some shocking revelations for Mama Piastri. It looked like ‘OSc’ was already a part of the Leclerc family. So Mrs. Piastri presented an adoption offer for Yuki Tsunoda! She wrote: “It appears there’s a vacancy for a son in my family,@yukitsunoda07?” And right after the race she took to social media and said: “Very proud of my boys @yukitsunoda07 @OscarPiastri.”

However, there’s an even more hilarious post from last year. In one of the Grand Prix races, an edit of Oscar Piastri as a deity was spotted in the crowd. The oddly riotous image made Nicole post: “I’m not sure what’s most disturbing about this – the long hair, the freaky heart, the dainty hands, or Oscar as a deity.” Mama was confused by the image. But her quick wit didn’t fail at all.

While the McLaren No.2 will continue with his F1 crusade, Nicole Piastri’s active involvement through social media will also bloom. She brings a whiff of relief in the intense sport. Fans would love more of the mother-son bickering; their bond is so endearing.
